Scorpio Mining Reports Voting Results of Election of Directors

Toronto, June 13, 2013 - Scorpio Mining Corporation (TSX: SPM) ("Scorpio" or the "Company") announced today that each of the five nominees proposed as directors and listed in its management information circular dated May 6, 2013 was elected as a director of the Company at the Company's annual and special meeting of shareholders held on June 13, 2013. The detailed results of the vote are set out below.

At the meeting, the Company's shareholders also approved the renewal of the Company's stock option plan and the amendment to the Company's By-laws, as set out in the Company's management information circular dated May 6, 2013.
